Supporting Middlesex University

Thank you for looking to support Middlesex University

There are several ways that you can provide financial support to Middlesex University, from granting scholarships for talented students, supporting research excellence, alleviating student hardship and making a difference to almost any aspect of student life you would like to give a donation to.

Your support of students allows us to continue to provide world class and life changing education to students no matter what their background is. Thank you for looking to support Middlesex University.

Online donations, cheques and debit or credit card

Committed Giving is a secure and easy way to donate directly to Middlesex University. You can make your donation online by making a single gift or by setting up a regular direct debit.

  • MDXCrowdfund

Middlesex University also has its very own crowdfunding platform called MDXCrowdfund. This connects external audiences to some of the exceptional student and staff creativity, innovation, entrepreneurialism and academic thought that takes place within Middlesex University on a daily basis.

To find out more about featured projects or to support one, please visit MDXCrowdfund.

  • Gift Aid

Middlesex University has charitable status, which means that gifts made by UK income tax payers can be made tax efficient through the Gift Aid Scheme.

By completing a Gift Aid Tax Declaration you can increase the value of your donation by nearly one third, at no additional cost to you.

Please visit the HM Revenue and Customs website for more information.

Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving allows you to make a donation to a charity directly from your pay or pension. The payment is made after National Insurance contributions, but before Income Tax. This means that you get tax relief on your donation immediately.

Should you wish to make a donation by payroll giving, you can authorise your employer or pension provider to deduct a set amount from your salary or pension income.

For further advice or help for employers and employees please contact the Charities Trust or visit the HM Revenue and Customs website.

The University is very grateful to receive legacies from its generous alumni and friends. The legacies we receive have been put to great use for our students, including providing bursaries.

For more information, please read the HM Revenue and Customs guide to giving shares to a charity.

Help at-risk Afghans with your donation

Middlesex University is part of a coalition of NGOs, academics, activists, women’s rights defenders, journalists, artists, filmmakers and peacebuilders. We are working to get our Afghan colleagues and families, who are under direct threat from the Taliban, to safety. They have worked to bring peace to Afghanistan over the last 20 years, have fought for the rights of all Afghans, and especially women, girls and minority groups in direct opposition to the Taliban.
